CNS is a membership organization with two levels: 

Active Membership consists of physicians and scientists who are interested in the study of neurological and psychiatric disease (neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry). These Members are residents of Chicago and its neighborhoods within a radius of 300 miles. This level has membership dues of $100 per dues year. 

Resident Membership consists of residents from the surrounding hospitals who have an focus in neurological and psychiatric specialties. This level has no membership dues and will be a candidate for approval into Active Membership if all criteria is met for the position.
